Now our government that is determined to disarm civilians is trying a new tactic: declare us all "insane".
The problem is, when you outlaw the possession of firearms - only "outlaws" will have them. One could safely suppose that the government hasn't yet heard of the law of unintended consequences.
I can see it now - Just for record these I invented just for this posting, but they are plausible - a person being disarmed for being in violation of any of the following:
412.00 Mistrust of the government (paranoia)
425.00 Practicing a Christian faith in violation of "social" acceptance of alternative lifestyles (a possible one if Hillary gets in)
480.00 General paranoia - storing food (selfishness)
Granted, these are a bit ridiculous - would the government really disarm people for violating similar ludicrous laws?

And yet the NRA has the audacity to warn us of the inherent danger and unconstitutionality of S. 1237, which will prohibit anyone who comes under the least bit of suspicion of "terrorism" from ever owning firearms. The U.S. Attorney General has sole discretion as to what "suspected terrorism" means (hint: Hitlery has already said that the NRA, GOA and JPFO are, in her opinion, domestic terrorist organizations). Under this legislation, there is no legal recourse, no appeals process, nothing. Without a shred of proof, without any charges being filed or an arrest being made, you are suddenly become a "prohibited person" blacklisted from ever owning firearms again.
And, of course, the "bigger and better" NICS system (thanks to the support of the NRA) will be the vehicle by which your records are flagged by State and Federal agencies.
Old Uncle Joe and Father Adolf both used the insanity charge to legally lock up dissenters. Gulag Archepelago (sp) is a good read. The chicoms use it today so their factories can have cheap slave labor to increase our trade deficit.

Getting psychiatric treatment has never been a disqualifier and isn't in this legislation either -- the key trigger actions remain as before:
-- Adjudication
-- or commitment.
Seeing a shrink because you're stressed or a little paranoid about people with red shoes doesn't meet either of those requirements.
